Security Officer - Hospital

Apex3 and Premier Security have relationships with over
50 clients and close to 1000 employees. Our specialty is the Chicago and Suburban market, which allows us to provide a close relationship versus global service providers.

• Conducting patrols (walking & vehicular)
• Performing routine duties such as lockups, unlocks, and patient/visitor assistance
• Writing detailed reports of incidents, injuries, accidents, etc.
• Sitting at fixed posts
• Responding to various urgent and emergency calls throughout the facility
• Assisting with patient stand-bys and restraints
• Performing monthly checks of fire extinguishers throughout the facility
• Traffic control as requested
• Perform all duties within the guidelines of an emergency contact dispatcher
• Create IDs and update card access m for hospital staff and vendors
• Oversee Lost and Found / Control and release of patient property
• Respond to alarms
• Follow HIPPA patient confidentiality – Pull medical records when needed
• Must pass physical assessment prior to hire and every 6 months thereafter

This position pays $12.00/hour to start.

• Must have 20 Hour Basic Security Training Certification or willing to obtain one.
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must be a high school graduate (GED accepted) and provide us with a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts.
• Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation (including drug screen), demonstrating a stable work history and/or education.
• Must disclose all criminal convictions and pending charges.
• Must be a cooperative team player with good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be capable of evaluating, investigating and reporting all types of security and law enforcement incidents.
• Must be able to withstand extended periods of walking and standing; restrain violent subjects; make physical arrests; assist in fire fighting.
• Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have no more than2 violations on your driving record within a 2 year period (if driving a company vehicle is required as part of job duties). Must wear our uniform and maintain our high standards for grooming and appearance.
• Must provide a valid PERC, and or be willing/able to receive one.
• Must be able to pass a required physical assessment.
