Material Handler
Western Industries Plastic Products LLC invites qualified candidates to join our team as a Material Handler. The role supports production by ensuring continuous supply of raw materials, verifying pallet counts, labeling materials, and removing finished parts from the production floor.
Summary ofJob Duties
- Follow work procedures to verify receipt of rail cars and color materials.
- Identify, label, and deliver color materials to storage areas.
- Perform daily and monthly physical inventories and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Pump resin into silos and ensure correct material placement.
- Manage regrind materials and deliver them to production as needed.
- Operate forklift and other power/hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve issues and complete assignments.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
- Verify packaging, stage materials, and prepare finished products for internal or external shipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position is performed in a production setting with exposure to varying weather conditions and an unconditioned manufacturing environment. Moderate to loud noise levels require hearing protection. Responsibilities may involve work above or below ground level and within confined spaces, routinely working on and around industrial equipment such as blow molding machinery, CNC machines, motors, control centers, generators, compressors, grinders, hand tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
PhysicalDemands
Standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. Success requires ability to use tools, operate industrial equipment, and wear required PPE.
