Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery | Winfield, KS
We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in Winfield, Kansas
. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional care and support to mothers and newborns during one of life’s most important moments.
Location: Winfield, KS
Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Schedule: 36 hours guaranteed per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
RequirementsActive RN License (Kansas or Compact Multi-State)
BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications (required)
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent L&D experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills
Must meet pre-employment credentialing requirements (background check, drug screen, etc.)
ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care to laboring patients, supporting them through delivery and postpartum recovery
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications, IV fluids, and perform physician-ordered interventions
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team
Educate and support patients and families during the birthing process
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state, and federal standards of care
