Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities
Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.Provide customers with fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrinkage.Recommend bakery or deli items to customers to meet their needs.Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.Prepare foods according to safety and quality standards, including temperature logs and cooking instructions.Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.Maintain store layout knowledge and locate products for customers.Stay informed about current promotions and product knowledge to assist customers effectively.Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain temperature logs.Create a welcoming environment that values customer and associate respect.Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.Act with honesty and integrity, following directions and seeking assistance when needed.Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Qualifications

- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to obtain a food handlers permit upon employment
