Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside of the store.Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.Inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report repairs needed.Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.Support and assist with customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications
