We are looking for a full-time Relative-Kinship Worker to add to our KS Permanency / KS Case Management Department! All you need is a bachelor’s degree in child and family services field with at least two years’ experience in child and family services.
What You Will DoAs a Relative-Kinship Worker, you will work to promote the well-being of children. Relative Kinship Workers teach skills such as emotional regulation, having healthy relationships, conflict resolution, and healthy communication within families. Relative Kinship Workers work together with our relative-kinship caregivers to help train and support them and the children in their home. Relative-Kinship Workers help to facilitate kinship meetings and to identify potential kinship and/or relative placement options.
Relative-Kinship Workers provide on-call support to caregivers and crisis intervention, as needed. As a Relative-Kinship Worker, you would also coordinate community resources for the children served.
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, eager to learn, who wants to help families and caregivers build on their strengths for healthy long-lasting relationships and help connect them with community resources to improve their lives. We want someone who has a desire to help children grow, learn, and build healthy families and a strong desire to advocate for children and their families!
