Full‑Time Office/Project
In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders. By coordinating and instructing subcontractor management staff, your field supervision ensures operations are planned to coincide with overall schedules and that work methods are executed safely.
Major ResponsibilitiesMonitors and directs subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility.
Supports large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders.
PlanningReviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Reviews and approves, where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Leads the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
Safety / QualityMonitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
Implements and enforces policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
TechnicalWorks with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
Coordinates engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Education and Experience RequirementsRequires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10‑13 years of relevant experience, or 14‑17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Experience in mining and metals.
- Familiarity with project automation tools including ACONEX, TEAMWorks, PTR, eSub (preferred).
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.
