Turquoise Ridge - Metallurgist

We are seeking a skilled Metallurgist I to join our Turquoise Ridge operation. The successful candidate will support the metallurgical processes at our plant, which treats refractory gold ore through pressure oxidation in autoclaves followed by Carbon‑In‑Leach (CIL) processing. This role requires a solid understanding of refractory gold treatment, pressure oxidation, and CIL processes, along with problem‑solving and analytical skills.

• Work closely with production and maintenance supervision and other departments to ensure environmental compliance and safe functionality of the plant operation and equipment maintenance.
• Lead projects through all aspects of experimental design, engineering, forecasting, funding, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop automation of data collection.
• Provide technical assistance and analysis to process group stakeholders.
• Be familiar with strategic business planning and propose process improvements to maximize cash flow.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Process‑related degree.
• Knowledge of metallurgical and processing analysis principles and methods, with practical application and process optimization experience highly preferred.
• Ability to research, analyze information, draw conclusions, and take action to resolve operational, environmental issues, permit compliance, and problem resolution from an operating plan status.
• Proficiency in multiple software applications and network platforms preferred.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets programmatically preferred.
• Experience with Power
  
  BI, Tableau, or database set‑up would be well regarded.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and ion exchange theory preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑orientated work ability, enhancing the Barrick vision by capturing future opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the position.
