Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Walmart is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment in local retail stores. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and supports staff through manual, digital, and power tools.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders for stores and store associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations as outlined in Walmart's refrigeration HVAC safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds; move up and down ladders; work comfortably at heights.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA refrigerant handling certification.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
