I very successful Construction, Design and Architecture firm head-officed in Winnipeg, are seeking a new Accounting Lead (Controller), to help them as they aim to grow from $100M to $200M in annual revenues.

Your new role

Reporting to the owners of the businesses, this Group role will be 100% in office, overseeing all aspects of Accounting and managing a small team.

Duties include:

Full-Cycle Accounting, Financial Control & Reporting
Payroll &pliance
Construction Project Accounting & Profitability Oversight
Acquisitions & Corporate Development
International Financial Coordination & Support
Systems, Process & Financial Modernization
Tax Optimization, Profitability & Capital Strategy

What you'll need to succeed

CPA designation (or equivalent) required.

10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in multi-entity or project-based organizations.

Proven ability to manage A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting independently.

Experience in construction or development accounting is strongly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of CRA regulations, IFRS standards, and corporate taxpliance.

Skilled in Quick Books Online, Dext, Hubdoc, and Excel-based financial analysis.

Experience coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and legal counsel.

Excellent organizational,munication, and time management skills.
