Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance

This is a part-time on-site role for an Accountant at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada located in Winnipeg, MB. The accountant will be reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration and will be responsible for managing financial transactions, including payables and receivables, preparing financial reports, preparing audit files for annual audits, carrying out reconciliations, preparing and remitting GST and PST, as well as providing support with the filing of charity returns and issuing of tax slips (T5 and T4A).

• Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Financial Analysis skills
• Experience with financial software and spreadsheets
• Experience with Oracle Net Suite is an advantage
• Experience with SAGE ERP 300 is an advantage
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Charitable non-profit organization work experience is a definite advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
