Job DescriptionWallace and Wallace, an ASSA ABLOY branded Company, is looking for a full-time Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work out of our office located at 90 Lowson Crescent, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The Accounting Supervisor will lead our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams and ensure accurate, timely financial operations. This hands‑on role focuses primarily on supervising AP/AR processes
, while also contributing to broader accounting, reporting, and system improvements, including an upcoming ERP system implementation
.
- Supervise daily AP and AR processing
, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance - Monitor workloads, address issues, and maintain consistent financial processes
- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to support team development
- Review general ledger entries and account reconciliations
, resolving variances - Support month‑end and year‑end close activities within established timelines
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and audit support
- Lead and support AP/AR team members (3 direct reports)
- Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment
- Support an upcoming ERP system implementation
, including testing, data validation, and user support - Assist with finance system enhancements and upgrades
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls across AP, AR, and general ledger functions
- 3–5 years of accounting or financial operations experience
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or acting as a senior team member
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- CPA designation (or progress toward CPA) is an asset
- Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience is an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus
