You possess a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and have a sharp eye for detail. You’re highly organized, dependable, and comfortable managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and data entry with accuracy and efficiency. About  the  Role   As Accounting Assistant at Metric, you’ll support the day-to-day accounting and administrative operations of the agency, working closely with our Controller and leadership team to help keep financial processes organized, accurate, and efficient. This is a steady, long-term role supporting core accounting operations in a well-established team.
Responsibilities    Accounts Receivable & Billing    Generate and issue client invoices
Apply and record incoming payments
Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections
Respond to client billing inquiries as needed
Accounts Payable    Verify, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately
Process vendor payments and employee expense reports
Assist with credit card and monthly reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Perform data entry and assist with journal entries
Support general accounting and reporting tasks
Administrative & Team Support    Provide administrative support across departments as needed
Collaborate with team members to support smooth financial operations
Assist with financial and payment-related inquiries from staff and vendors
What You Bring    3+ years of experience in an accounting assistant, bookkeeping, or similar support role
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage recurring tasks and competing priorities effectively
Professional and clear communication skills
Proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books, Xero, Sage, or similar ERP systems), Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace
Experience working in a professional services or agency environment is considered an asset
Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually (depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent role
