Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Prepare and maintain financial records for a variety of clients

Complete account reconciliations and journal entries

Assist with month‑end and year‑end accounting processes

Maintain accurate and organized client files and supporting documentation

Financial Statement Preparation

Prepare working papers and supporting schedules

Assist in the preparation of year‑end financial statements and compilation engagements

Review financial information for completeness and accuracy

Tax Preparation

Prepare personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns

Assist with gathering information and supporting documentation required for tax filings

Respond to client requests related to tax and accounting matters

Client Service

Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients

Provide timely and professional support regarding accounting and bookkeeping inquiries

Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and meet deadlines

Team Support & Process Improvement

Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional client service

Assist with workflow management during busy periods

Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, processes, and client experience

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

Diploma, certificate, or degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field

2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public practice environment

Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns is considered an asset

Technical Skills

Experience with Quick Books, Case Ware, Tax Prep, and Microsoft Office applications

Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting

Proficiency with Excel and other accounting software

Professional Attributes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
