Operations Accounting Specialist

Position: Nutrien Operations Accounting Specialist
Elevate your accounting skills with Nutrien as an Operations Accounting Specialist, where you'll handle Vendor Prepay contracts and financial reconciliations. Work collaboratively to support organizational effectiveness.

This role is crucial in the Operations Accounting segment, reporting to the Manager of Operations Accounting. You will focus on reconciling vendor contracts across the US and Canada while working closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable. Your efforts will assist in the monthly and quarterly closing cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile Vendor Prepay contracts for accuracy

• Collaborate on contract setup with the Procurement team

• Work with Accounts Payable on prepay applications

• Complete journal entries monthly and support closing processes

• Handle SOX and external audit inquiries

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred

• At least 3 years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
