• Perform professional accounting work in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements
• Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy
• Preparation of monthly journal entries
• Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis ensuring proper support and procedures are maintained
• Actively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required
• Participate in interim and year‑end audit activities as required
• Assist in the preparation of various internal and external reporting requirements including quarterly working papers and financial statement disclosure
• Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department

• Must be authorized to work in Canada
• Minimum 3 years experience as an accounting or finance analyst or other related experience
• Post‑secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
• Holds (or is actively pursuing) a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite applications

• Working in an aviation/aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred
• Cost accounting experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Oracle system an asset
• Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement
• Ability to work independently - multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and analytical skills
