Position: Cando Rail Senior Accountant Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will manage the general ledger, assist in month-end close processes, and support internal financial audits. This position emphasizes streamlined accounting practices while fostering collaboration with operational teams to improve efficiency. Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger accurately

• Support financial analysis and reporting initiatives

• Aid in month-end and year-end financial closes

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regional taxes

• Participate in cash management and validation processes

Requirements:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation preferred

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

• Proficient in financial reporting and reconciliations

• Experience in month-end closing tasks

• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
