Accounting Assistant at TRAF

Support TRAF's financial operations as an Accounting Assistant in downtown Winnipeg. Excel in pension processing, data entry, and financial reporting while delivering exceptional service to stakeholders.

As an Accounting Assistant at the Teachers’ Retirement Allowances Fund, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Risk Officer.

Your role will be crucial for managing pension payments and accounting processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Your experience in financial transactions, along with strong organizational skills, will be put to excellent use in this vital position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage clerical workload for the finance department

• Support accounts payable and financial processes

• Perform data entry, verification, and quality assurance

• Process and post journal entries accurately

• Assist with pension-related transactions and reconciliations

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in an accounting environment

• Experience with accounting software, MS Dynamics preferred

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and communication
