Finance Professional at Smartrend Manufacturing

Smartrend Manufacturing Group is seeking an analytical Assistant Controller to drive financial operations and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting. Your expertise will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial process improvement.

This role reports to the Controller and plays a pivotal part in financial accounting and cost analysis. You will lead month-end and year-end processes, collaborating closely with operations to monitor manufacturing costs and deliver meaningful financial insights. Your contributions will enhance operational efficiency and business performance through accurate financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end and year-end financial statement preparation

• Analyze manufacturing standard costs and recommend improvements

• Develop financial models for new products and initiatives

• Lead the annual budgeting process with departmental coordination

• Collaborate with departments to maintain forecasts and budgets

Requirements:

• CPA designation or in progress toward certification

• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and cost accounting

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis

• Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
