Position: Grain Division Commodity Accountant Role
Join the Grain division as a Commodity Accountant at Parrish & Heimbecker in Winnipeg, MB. This role focuses on financial analysis and reporting to support your strengths in accounting.

As a Commodity Accountant, you will be responsible for month-end profit and loss analysis, providing critical insights for both CAD and USD commodities. You’ll help communicate these findings to grain traders and track expenses to identify cost trends and variances. Your analysis will be vital in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end commodity P&L analysis

• Communicate with traders regarding financial results

• Analyze commodity expenses and freight costs thoroughly

• Complete necessary monthly accounting reconciliations

• Manage journal entries and support external reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

• CPA enrollment or designation is a plus

• Background in commodity or grain accounting preferred

• Excellent Excel and analytical capabilities

• Strong organizational skills for effective management
