Penn-co Construction is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our Payroll team at our Steinbach office.

• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and unionized employees.
• Enter and maintain accurate employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, transfers, rate changes, classifications, and other employment status changes.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and related documentation.
• Assist with payroll remittances and reporting, including government, union, benefit, pension, and other third-party remittances.
• Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of T4s and other year-end reporting.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and assist with resolving discrepancies as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of two years of payroll experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
