Payroll Administrator

Position: Payroll Administrator at Bird Construction
Join Bird Construction as a Payroll Administrator based in Winnipeg or Edmonton, where you’ll ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely according to established guidelines. This position is essential in handling payroll inquiries and preparing reports.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will report to the Payroll Supervisor and support the preparation of bi-weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with company and government policies. Key tasks include liaising with staff, managing Records of Employment, and assisting with audit preparations while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage hourly payroll processing

• Handle payroll calculations for new hires and changes

• Create and prepare month-end payroll reports

• Maintain confidentiality of payroll operations

• Assist with audits and ensure accuracy in reporting

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Business, Accounting, or related field

• 2+ years of payroll cycling processing experience

• PCP designation or familiarity with payroll systems preferred

• Strong Excel and data handling capabilities

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
