Winnipeg Business Unit Accounting Position

Become a Senior Business Unit Accounting Analyst with The Boyd Group in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where you will lead efforts in financial reporting and process improvement with proactive collaboration.

This role involves providing expert technical guidance and support to the Business Unit Accounting team, working to enhance workflow efficiencies and maintain rigorous financial reporting standards. You’ll oversee account reconciliations, perform variance analysis, and work intimately with cross-functional teams to convey essential financial insights and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in mentoring accountants for timely financial results

• Ensure compliance during review of account reconciliations

• Identify process redundancies and implement solutions

• Analyze monthly operational expenses and gross margins

• Support ongoing monitoring of accounting controls

Requirements:

• Business degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance

• At least 4 years of relevant finance experience

• Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Workday

• Progress towards CPA or similar certification

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
