Founding CPA & Head of Tax

Cavait is building a modern tax and accounting company around technology, strong professional judgment, and a better client experience. We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial CPA to help establish and lead our Canadian tax practice.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with practice building. You will help define professional standards, review processes, service delivery, hiring, and the long-term direction of Cavait's tax organization.

• Lead Canadian personal and corporate tax services.
• Guide tax planning, T1/T2 work, GST/HST, CRA matters, reorganizations, and technical review.
• Establish professional policies, quality-control processes, and client engagement standards.
• Help recruit and develop future tax professionals.
• Contribute to Cavait's strategy, service expansion, and long-term practice development.

Applicants must hold a CPA designation in good standing with the applicable provincial CPA body and have strong Canadian tax experience. Experience with privately held or owner-managed businesses is particularly valuable.

This is an early-stage, partnership-oriented opportunity rather than a conventional fixed-salary role  initial structure may include revenue participation, partnership economics, long-term equity or ownership participation where appropriate and permitted, and future salary as the business reaches agreed operating milestones.
