Senior Business Unit Accounting Analyst

This senior position provides technical guidance and workflow support to Business Unit Accounting staff. You will collaborate with the Manager, Business Unit Accounting, review account reconciliations, and analyze revenue, gross margin, and operational expenses. The work also supports effective controls and continuous efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Guide Business Unit accountants through accurate, timely financial outputs
Support month-end close, deliverables, and high-priority issue identification
Review monthly and high-risk account reconciliations for compliance
Prepare variance analysis and explain revenue, gross margin, and OPEX drivers
Monitor controls and implement improved accounting workflows
Requirements:
Four-plus years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Strong knowledge of inventory, operational expenses, and revenue
Technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
Undergraduate Business degree, preferably Accounting or Finance
Working toward CPA or another certification;
Workday experience preferred
Use IFRS, variance analysis, reconciliations, and process improvement expertise to strengthen business unit accounting in Winnipeg.
