Permanent on a Temporary Basis, Full-time. Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Salary: $1,798.30 - $2,105.55 bi-weekly, as per the Clerk B Classification within the C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement. Employee Group: C.U.P.E. Posting No.: 126616. Closing Date:

Responsibilities- Provide admin clerical support for on-site managers, supervisors and other staff.
- Enter, update and maintain data in a variety of spreadsheets and databases.
- Prepare, type, format, and proofread letters, memos, reports, and other documents using Microsoft Office.
- Print, fax, photocopy, and scan documents for distribution, filing, and archiving.
- Complete work accurately and meet assigned deadlines.
- Perform reception duties, mail delivery/pickup, arrange courier services, and make outgoing calls as required.
- Schedule participants and book boardrooms and resources for meetings using Microsoft Outlook; coordinate meeting requirements.
- Act as recording secretary during meetings and prepare/distribute agendas and minutes in a timely manner.
- Create and issue invoices for services; reconcile external data to the appropriate general ledger and sub-ledger accounts and balances.
- Order goods and services and manage receiving in People Soft.
- Assist with special projects and events; provide coverage and training for various positions as needed.
- Other duties consistent with the classification, as assigned/required.
- Completed High School Grade 12 / GED, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; proficiency in Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to learn other databases/software including People Soft, TOKAY, WHMS, and CLIC; adapt to new technology.
- Ability to prepare letters, memos, and reports in accordance with departmental policies.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure; good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication; organized, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and files; input data accurately and within deadlines.
- Experience with standard office equipment (photocopier, fax, scanner, etc.) and general office procedures.
- Ability to perform arithmetic computations and accounting reconciliations.
- General knowledge of the Water and Waste Department’s functions related to the position.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with employees at all levels, external contacts, and the public in alignment with the Respectful Workplace Standard.
- Willingness to perform miscellaneous clerical tasks consistent with the classification or junior classifications as required.

- The successful candidate must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If a work permit is held, the candidate is responsible for maintaining its validity.
