Employment Opportunity – Bulletin Number CL #2 26/27. Commencing August 24, 2026. Full‑time position, 34 hours per week, Monday–Friday (excluding school closure breaks).
Job SummaryThe Sub Clerk will manage all clerical tasks related to the scheduling and administration of substitute teachers, educational assistants, custodial staff, and library staff, as well as support for payroll, facilities booking and HR processes.
Responsibilities- Book substitute teachers, educational assistants, custodial, clerical and library staff; enter data into payroll software and maintain attendance/timesheets.
- Process Limited Teaching Permit applications for substitute teachers.
- Transfer student cumulative files, manage archived records, file transcripts for past students.
- Support the Secretary‑Treasurer with facility and activity bus bookings, shared calendar maintenance, fleet management, insurance compliance and rental fee collection.
- Assist Human Resources/Payroll by tracking staff security checks, medical appointment verifications, and required training certifications.
- Provide reception duties, including answering the main phone line, directing calls, greeting the public and delivery personnel, and arranging appointments for senior administration.
- Grade 12 education and an office administration certificate from a recognized college or institution, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent technology skills, including proficiency with all Google applications.
- Self‑starter able to work independently with little supervision.
- Demonstrated competence and a high degree of organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory relations with students, parents, school and division personnel, and the public.
