Reporting to the Supervisor of Customer Relations, the Zoning and Permits Reception Clerk plays a critical role in assisting both internal and external customers. You'll handle permit applications, process refunds, and manage public notices while ensuring smooth collaboration among staff. Strong organizational skills are essential for meeting deadlines and working independently on various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process trade and special permit applications and refunds
• Respond to customer inquiries; notify appropriate staff
• Administer public notices and manage placement
• Oversee the encroachment process effectively
• Perform various clerical duties as needed
Requirements:
• Minimum of one year administrative support experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to type accurately at 20 words per minute
• Must maintain confidentiality in all tasks
Support zoning activities and customer interactions effectively as the Reception Clerk.
