We are adding to our team in Arborg and looking to fill the position of Service Writer. The purpose of this position is to control all the paperwork necessary to support the efficient receipt, processing and return of equipment worked on in the service shop.

This position is also responsible for ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange shipping for Agricultural, Turf and Compact Construction equipment.
  • Create estimates, request standard job pricing, attach media files, adjust pricing as required – and ensure they are closed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure technician hours are posted to the correct orders and accounted for
  • Reconcile daily cash deposits
  • Arrange client financing and visa payments
  • Process the appropriate paperwork for equipment transfers
  • Order office/building supplies as required
  • Receive all incoming items for repair, accurately record the customer’s information and their description of the problem, explain the process to them, and answer their questions.
  • Open work orders as needed and maintain control of these work orders – ensuring that they are closed in a timely manner.
  • Submit process warranty claims
  • Manage all incoming traffic and telephones
  • Maintain communication with client during repair and including scheduling the pickup and also ensures that repaired item is clean and ready to go when the customer arrives.

  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Excellent ability to understand the timelines of the technician
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Required Experience

  • High school completion
  • One to two years in a busy service department
  • One years experience with a computerized service program
