National Office Coordinator

The Association of United Ukrainian Canadians (AUUC) is hiring an office coordinator. This position is based in Winnipeg and is a permanent position. Office Coordinator primarily works alone.

About the AUUC
The AUUC is a not-for-profit organization representing Ukrainian Canadians of many generations. Our work, and that of our affiliated organization, is cultural, social and political in nature. The AUUC has continuously represented Ukrainian Canadians for more than 100 years.

Position Details

Permanent

Hours per week: 5 x 7‑hour work days

Start date:

Immediately

Salary: $24.00 per hour

Duties

Work under the direction of the National President, National Treasurer, National Executive Committee and National Committee.

Ensure day‑to‑day business of the Association is carried out efficiently and timely.

Coordinate the work of other employee(s) when necessary.

Maintain office equipment and condition of the office.

Order supplies and maintain office inventory.

Attend AUUC National meetings, providing flexible work hours as required, and keep the National Executive Committee and National Committee informed with regular written activity reports.

Ensure directions from the National Convention, National Committee, or National Executive Committee are addressed and completed within the parameters of the AUUC Constitution.

Qualifications / Experience

3-5 years of related experience – office administration, program coordination, etc.

Good understanding of the culture, governance and policies of not‑for‑profit associations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be comfortable in a team environment.

Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

Strong communication skills.

Proficiency in the English language.

Ukrainian language ability is an asset.

Assets

Comfortable with organizing meetings using online platforms such as Zoom or Teams.

Experience with Microsoft Access and mail merge are desirable but not mandatory.
