The Clerk position provides essential support within the Patient Registration Department, reporting to the Clinical Quality Initiatives Coordinator. Ideal candidates possess a Grade 12 education, CPR training, and previous office experience. You’ll need strong computer skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle diverse situations with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and document incoming patient calls accurately
• Update and maintain patient records diligently
• Fax documents and locate resources as needed
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Adhere to privacy regulations in patient interactions
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Medical Office Assistant Program completion preferred
• One year of related office experience
• Typing speed of 45 wpm
• Strong verbal communication skills in English
