Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant – Clerk IV is responsible for general accounting functions and may provide general administrative services as it relates to the facility. The role supports the mission, vision and values of the Interlake‑Eastern Regional Health Authority.
Qualifications- Grade 12 required.
- Graduate of a recognized administrative assistant program required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of recent experience in accounting required and familiarity with payroll.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Dynamics and QHR required.
- Accurate typing skills with a minimum speed of 50 words per minute required.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships in a multidisciplinary, team‑based environment.
- Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment record.
- Proficiency in both official languages is essential for target or designated bilingual positions. Speaking more than one language is an asset.
All health care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Interlake‑Eastern RHA Policy (GA‑13‑P‑110). All successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screening), adult abuse and child abuse registry checks prior to commencing employment.
