Indigenous Cultural Support Coordinator

This role offers vital logistical and administrative assistance for the Elders-in-Residence program under Ongomiizwin Education. You will be at the forefront of coordinating educational initiatives that resonate with Indigenous cultures. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective engagement with students, faculty, and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to Elders and Knowledge Keepers
• Organize and deliver cultural workshops and ceremonies
• Assist in logistics and financial planning for events
• Promote relationships with Indigenous and institutional partners
• Support student engagement initiatives across the faculty
Requirements:
• Minimum one year administrative experience required
• Three years of working with Indigenous community experts
• Understanding of Indigenous cultures and socio-economic issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility for evening and weekend commitments needed
