Position: Health Information Registration Clerk Role
Location: Portage la Prairie

Join Southern Health-Santé Sud as a Health Information Registration Clerk at Portage Regional Health Centre. This in-person role emphasizes exceptional customer service and accuracy during the registration process.

Reporting to the Registration Services Coordinator, you will accurately gather patient information while adhering to best practices. Your experience in patient reception within an Admission/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) system and clerical skills are essential for success. You will support Health Information Services and collaborate effectively while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and input patient registration information accurately

• Provide exceptional customer service at the reception

• Ensure compliance with provincial client registry best practices

• Maintain and protect confidentiality of client information

• Communicate efficiently with patients and healthcare staff

Requirements:

• Recent experience in a patient reception area preferred

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Completion of Medical Office Assistant Program

• Knowledge of the Personal Health Information Act

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records
