Advanced Repair Planner / Estimator

Crown Autobody and Glass – Crown Honda, 2610 McPhillips Street, Winnipeg

Full-time Permanent

We have a great opportunity for an Advanced Repair Planner/Estimator to join our team at Crown Autobody & Glass located at Crown Honda. Crown Autobody & Glass is a state‑of‑the‑art autobody shop that specializes in import brands. The Advanced Repair Planner is the primary liaison between MPI and the collision centre operations and is responsible for creating an exceptional experience by accurately estimating and blueprinting vehicle repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Dismantle and reassemble vehicles for accurate estimating, pre‑wash vehicles if necessary
  • Perform a thorough teardown to accurately assess vehicle damage
  • Document all accident damages with paint pen, photographs, and detailed descriptions
  • Accurately estimate vehicle damage using MPI’s policies and procedures
  • Capture all labor and parts operations using OEM repair procedures and MPI’s policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with production, parts, CSR, and MPI teams, proactively providing collision centre staff with updates on vehicles being estimated
  • Estimate an average of five vehicles per day for internal and retail customers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, quality, safety, completion, and on‑time delivery
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of training or equivalent experience with autobody estimation
  • ICAR Certified in Estimating (preferred) or interest in becoming certified
  • Hands‑on training/experience using Mitchell Connect or other industry‑standard software
  • Consistently deliver superior service to both internal and external customers
  • Balance multiple tasks, prioritise duties for efficiency and self‑motivation/production
  • Excellent organisational, multi‑tasking and time‑management skills
  • Communicate information with clarity and consistency
  • Work effectively individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, bend, and stand for prolonged periods
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive manual transmission
