Service Attendant - Jim Pattison Collision & Glass

Jim Pattison Collision & Glass, 1687 Dugald Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Job Description

Posted Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM

Jim Pattison Collision & Glass is looking for a dependable, hands‑on Collision
Service Attendant to help keep repaired vehicles clean, organized, and ready for their owners.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and enjoys working around vehicles. You’ll support the collision repair team by preparing vehicles for delivery, moving vehicles safely around the facility, maintaining the work area, and helping ensure every vehicle leaves the shop looking its best.

  • Employment: Full-time, permanent
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Lunch: One-hour unpaid lunch
  • Reports to: Collision Manager

Your Role

Once a vehicle has completed its collision repairs, you’ll help with the final steps before it returns to the customer. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Washing and cleaning vehicles after body and paint work.
  • Vacuuming and cleaning vehicle interiors.
  • Completing final detailing and presentation work before delivery.
  • Checking vehicles after cleaning and bringing any visible issues or concerns to the attention of the appropriate team member.
  • Driving and positioning vehicles within the shop, yard, storage areas, and delivery areas.
  • Taking appropriate care when handling customer vehicles and company equipment.
  • Keeping detailing supplies, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Following safe procedures when using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and other shop tools.
  • Protecting customer information and treating vehicle information confidentially.
  • Working cooperatively with technicians, estimators, management, and other members of the collision team.
  • Helping with other day‑to‑day tasks that support the operation of the body shop.

What You Bring

You don't necessarily need extensive collision‑repair experience. We're looking for someone who is reliable, careful, and willing to learn.

You'll need:

  • A valid Manitoba driver's licence and satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • The ability to drive both automatic and manual‑transmission vehicles is preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing, a dealership, collision repair, or a similar environment is an asset.
  • A strong eye for cleanliness and presentation.
  • The ability to follow directions, manage priorities, and work independently when required.
  • A dependable attendance record and a positive attitude.
  • A professional approach when working with customer property.

The Physical Side of the Job

This is an active position rather than a desk job. You'll spend much of your day moving between vehicles, the shop, and the lot.

The work involves:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and working around vehicles.
  • Getting in and out of vehicles frequently.
  • Washing and detailing vehicle exteriors and interiors.
  • Handling cleaning supplies, tools, and detailing equipment.
  • Working outdoors for portions of the day in changing conditions, including rain, snow, wind, heat, and cold.

Appropriate safety measures will be used when weather or working conditions require them.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and insurance
  • Unlimited opportunities for advancement, growth, and development
  • Access to exclusive corporate discount programs
  • Recognition and rewards programs
  • A strong team atmosphere and a positive, supportive working environment

This role requires successful candidates to submit a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
