As a vital member of our Sales Team, the Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates and tenders for construction traffic safety needs.

• Prepare price estimates and budgets, identifying inherent constraints, risks, and opportunities
• Attend pre-tender meetings and communicate with clients regarding scope of work
• Complete take-offs, obtain materials and subcontractor pricing, finalize self-performed labour, equipment, and materials for each estimate
• Conduct thorough reviews of the tender documents and analyze subcontractor requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Communicate with clients regarding items that require clarification on tender documents
• Provide finalized tender packages to Clients, Account Managers and Management
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members on pricing, change orders, etc.

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering or related field
• 2+ years of previous estimating experience, preferably within a construction setting
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Capable communicator and interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products and estimating software

Typical working hours would be Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; however, additional hours may be required during the busy season or to meet deadline requirements for large tenders or estimates.
