Thinking about a change?We are currently looking for a Foreman for a 3-month term with potential for extension for our site in Winnipeg, MB. The ideal candidate is hard working and capable of working with minimal oversight, safely and efficiently. What you will be doing:- Performing a range of general construction related tasks as assigned;
- Providing guidance to general labourers and ensuring quality control;
- Materials management and distribution;
- Providing elevations and layout for subtrades as required;
- Assisting with construction site building clean up;
- Assisting subtrades when needed and as required.
- Able to operate a telehandler (zoom boom) and skid steer;
- Takes safety seriously and is mindful of surroundings;
- A positive attitude and ability to work well with others in a team environment;
- Desire to search out opportunities to learn new things;
- Considers quality and accomplishes tasks with an eye on the finished product;
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
- A valid National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification.
- A valid driver’s license is an asset;
- A current tele-handler (zoom boom) ticket is an asset.
- You have the ability to demonstrate competence in the areas of safety and people management
- You have positive attitude and ability to build a constructive team environment;
- You have a desire to search out opportunities to learn new things and to support the learning of others;
- You consider quality and accomplish tasks with an eye on the finished product;
- You are open to working overtime and weekends as required
Salary Range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
