Position: Labourer 2 in Roads and Drainage
Join the City of Burnaby as a Labourer 2 in the Roads and Drainage unit. This full-time role involves semi-skilled construction and maintenance tasks requiring physical effort and agility.

Your responsibilities will include leading road projects, installing culverts, regrading pavements, and operating compacting machines. You’ll assist with pipe-laying, mix concrete, and maintain wooden fences. This position is suited for individuals with a background in general construction and knowledge of public works methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead road projects involving diverse maintenance tasks

• Operate motorized equipment for compacting and grading

• Assist in laying pipes and concrete finishing

• Perform repairs on sidewalks and boulevards

• Maintain and construct wire and wooden fences

Requirements:

• Up to high school graduation or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of tools and techniques in construction

• Physical strength and stamina for manual tasks

• Valid driver’s license for British Columbia

• Ability to perform semi-skilled work independently
