Position: Calgary Underground Construction Technician Role
Join Valard Construction as an Underground Construction Technician in Calgary, focusing on the installation of underground cables for the Calgary Green Line LRT project. This role demands physical labor and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

This hands-on position involves collaborating with the Foreman to ensure efficient installation of electrical infrastructure. You will be responsible for operating construction equipment, performing excavations, and maintaining safety standards while executing tasks, including reading construction drawings for precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Erect temporary support structures and pour concrete

• Dig and reinforce trenches with concrete

• Operate backhoes and mini excavators on the site

• Keep job sites organized and safe with daily maintenance

• Complete essential documentation, such as inspections

Requirements:

• Prior experience in underground construction or civil work

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with good abstract

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs outdoors

• Flexible schedule as needed per project

• Ground Disturbance and CSTS certifications preferred
