Position: Wiikwemkoong Labourer for Housing Projects
Become a Residential Labourer with the Wiikwemkoong Housing Department. Assist with construction efforts to improve community housing and ensure site safety.

The department is hiring ten Labourers dedicated to community enhancement through residential construction. You will assist in transporting and installing building materials, with a focus on maintaining safety and quality throughout all projects. This impactful work will directly affect housing conditions within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with safety regulations and use personal protective equipment

• Help in transporting and installing various building components

• Work on installations for foundations, framing, and roofing

• Keep construction sites clean and hazard-free

• Operate hand and power tools under guidance

Requirements:

• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in construction or related fields valued

• Understanding of Anishinaabe culture and safety practices

• Strong skills in communication and teamwork

• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work outside
