Position: Estimator for Heavy Civil Projects
Elevate your career at Sigfusson Northern as an Estimator specializing in heavy civil projects. Based in Winnipeg, your focus will be on cost estimation, risk assessment, and collaborative project planning.

Reporting to the Vice President of Pre-Construction, you will analyze tender documents for accurate quantity take-offs and execution strategies, ensuring projects are competitively priced and delivered successfully. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing the accuracy of estimations and project strategies, directly impacting future construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare comprehensive cost estimates

• Oversee bid preparation and ensure scope completeness

• Identify procurement and risk mitigation strategies

• Develop pricing based on market and historical data

• Collaborate with project managers for strategic execution

Requirements:

• Experience in estimating heavy civil or municipal projects

• Degree/certificate in relevant construction discipline

• Familiarity with Primavera or MS Project

• Experience with CAD and Bluebeam software

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
