Overview:
Our Mainline and Commercial/Residential Paving Crews are hiring for May 2026. This individual is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks/responsibilities efficiently and effectively. They will meet quality standards and production targets set by the organization. They will follow established procedures, guidelines, and best practices. It is important that they maintain open and constructive communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Finally, they will show punctuality and reliability in fulfilling work obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate rollers to compact and smooth asphalt surfaces on roadbeds, laneways, and parking lots.
- Ensure proper operation and control of the roller to achieve desired compaction and smoothness.
- Observe the distribution of asphalt material and adjust roller movements to correct any irregularities or low spots.
- Collaborate with other crew members to coordinate roller operations and ensure seamless paving processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on the roller to ensure its proper functioning and safety.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding roller operations and surface conditions.
- Adhere to project specifications and quality standards for asphalt compaction.
- Keep work area clean and organized, including the roller and surrounding paving site.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisors for prompt resolution.
- Follow project schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of compaction tasks.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and necessary training certification.
- Adaptability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively and safely as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Wage Range:
The salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $32.00 and $45.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
