ACSI is seeking hardworking Earthworks Labourers to support civil construction operations. This role involves assisting with excavation, grading, pipe installation, and general site work while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with excavation, grading, and backfilling operationsSupport pipe crews and underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm)Perform general labour duties including shoveling, trenching, and site cleanupHelp with layout and grade support (working alongside grade person/survey crews)Work safely around heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders)Follow all site safety procedures, permits, and hazard assessmentsMaintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized work areaCommunicate with supervision and crew to complete daily tasksPrepare and cleanup work sites.Other duties as assigned.Requirements and Experience
WHMIS-15 CertificatePrevious experience in earthworks or civil constructionExperience with grading, excavation, or underground utilities considered an assetAbility to work in a physically demanding environmentWillingness to follow direction and work as part of a crewSafety-focused attitude and awareness of job site hazardsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationSafety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) considered an assetSurvey or grade experience is an assetProven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
