ACSI is seeking currently seeking an experienced Finish Grade Dozer Operator to join our civil construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dozers for precise grading, earthmoving, and site preparation while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate dozers to perform rough and finish grading to required elevations and tolerances
  • Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and site layouts
  • Work closely with surveyors, foremen, and grade personnel to meet design requirements
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Maintain safe working distances and follow all site safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with other operators and ground crew (radio/hand signals)
  • Assist with building pads, roads, berms, and general site prep
  • Requirements and Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years experience operating dozers (finish grade experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of grade control, slopes, and elevations
  • Ability to read grade stakes / plans
  • Experience working on civil or underground utility projects is an asset
  • Safety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, Ground disturbance) considered an asset
  • Strong awareness of site safety and hazard recognition
  • Follow directions that are spoken or given by hand signals.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Able to sit for long period of time in cramped spaces.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
  • Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screen and/or criminal record check.
