Construction Manager/ Foreman, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations across project management, production, service & maintenance, estimating, administration, and safety.
- Provide senior oversight of commercial construction projects from award through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and profitability targets are met.
- Monitor project costs, labour productivity, backlog, margins, WIP, and overall financial performance.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Foremen, Estimators, and field teams to identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Oversee estimating and support business development, customer relationships, and repeat business.
- Review contracts, change orders, and project risks while ensuring proper documentation and cost control.
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and operational staff while maintaining clear accountability.
- Ensure strong safety, quality-control, and company standards across all operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, productivity, and overall business performance.
- Work closely with ownership on strategic planning, financial performance, staffing, and future growth.
- 7–10+ years of progressive management experience in commercial construction or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of construction operations, project costing, scheduling, estimating, labour management, and subcontractor coordination.
- Experience managing multiple projects, departments, and operational teams.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand budgets, job costing, margins, financial statements, and KPIs.
- Experience with construction contracts, change orders, and risk management.
- Proven leadership and people-management skills with the ability to hold teams accountable.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- A practical, hands-on leadership style and the ability to move comfortably between the office and jobsite.
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience in general contracting, building envelope, mechanical/electrical contracting, architectural construction, or construction service and maintenance would be an asset. A technical diploma, engineering technology, construction management, business education, or equivalent industry experience is also considered an asset.
