The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the Project is delivered on schedule, within contract requirements while meeting all safety, quality, and workmanship standards. The role also includes leading all Foremen and workers associated to the scope of work with a combination of self-perform and subcontracted workforce.

This role will lead the execution of multiple activities in a major infrastructure project in a dense urban environment.

What You’ll Do Here:

Maintain site layout and develop plan for logistics around work areas.

Lead works on site by implementing strict safety policies.

Support the Project Management team to prepare Work Plans, Method Statements and Lift Plans required for lifting operations.

Serve as a site authority by making sure works on site are done in accordance with Work Plans and Drawings.

Supervise, coordinate and monitor workforce assigned to its specific scope of work.

Maintain good relationship with unions and address disputes, conflicts and grievances.

Develop and maintain relationships with owners, consultants and subcontractors.

Ensure Aecon’s corporate health and safety program and quality control plans are adhered to along with project-specific and local legislative site regulations and requirements.

Accountable for compliance with union agreements.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

10+ years of experience in major projects, transit preferred.

Past experience with concrete works, utilities, shoring and/or shafts excavation required.

8+ years of experience in a supervisory position in the construction industry.
