Position: Senior Architect for K-12 Education
Lead architectural initiatives for Manitoba’s K-12 public education facilities. As Senior Architect, guide internal teams and external partners to shape strategic capital projects and policies.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the School Space Planning Branch, this role demands extensive architectural experience focused on providing senior leadership. You will oversee architects, technologists, and project managers, ensuring that capital planning aligns with educational needs. Essential tasks involve engaging stakeholders, developing architectural standards, and conducting assessments for new schools and renovations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex architectural projects from inception to completion

• Develop and recommend architectural standards and policies

• Lead research and analysis for capital initiatives

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

• Ensure alignment of space standards with educational programs

Requirements:

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution

• Extensive architectural design and construction experience

• Proven project management capabilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Licensed architect with the Manitoba Association of Architects
