As a Medical Specialist within the CAF, your responsibilities include providing orthopedic consultations for Canadian Armed Forces members both in Canada and overseas. You will lead surgical teams, educate on trauma care, and maintain clinical readiness through ongoing civilian practice.
Your role also involves contributing to healthcare policy development within the CAF.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide orthopedic consultations for CAF members
• Lead surgical teams for both domestic and deployed operations
• Educate multidisciplinary healthcare teams on orthopedic care
• Maintain clinical currency in civilian health facilities
• Contribute to the development of health care policies
Requirements:
• Unrestricted license in Orthopedic Surgery in Canada
• Membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• Experience in trauma-focused care
• Ability to participate in military training
• Willingness to deploy internationally
