The Faculty of Education at the University of Winnipeg invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position in Developmental Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The Developmental Studies program offers a three‑year Bachelor’s degree, a four‑year joint Bachelor’s degree in partnership with Red River College Polytech and Université de Saint‑Boniface, and elective courses supporting the Early Years stream of the Bachelor of Education program and other campus programs.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in‑person and online during evenings and weekends.
- Supervise field/clinical experiences in applied settings.
- Contribute to program, faculty, university, and community service.
- Engage in post‑secondary teaching and curriculum development.
- Doctorate degree (or doctoral candidate who has defended a thesis) in early childhood development, curriculum and teaching, or a related field.
- Solid research agenda and potential for acquiring external research funding.
- Preferred certification as an Early Childhood Educator or Early Years Teacher.
- Experience working in an early childhood setting or community agency supporting young children, and knowledge of child‑care administration, Indigenous education, and inclusive settings.
- Evidence of engagement in post‑secondary teaching.
